TELULAR
Telular Corporation has been leading the world in cellular fixed wireless communications since its founding in 1986, providing the dynamics behind this expanding market sector. With a reputation for anticipating trends and setting standards for product innovation, Telular is continually adapting to the rapidly changing world of telecommunications.

Telular Corporation, the global leader in the cellular fixed wireless telecommunications industry, designs, develops, manufactures and markets Cellular Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) products that enable a standard telephone, fax, computer modem or security alarm system to operate wirelessly over the cellular network for either primary or back-up communications. Based on its proprietary RJ-11-to-Cellular interface technologies, Telular provides the capability to bridge landline telephone equipment with cellular-type transceivers used in wireless communication networks in the cellular and PCS bands. The PHONECELL product line allows traditional wireline networks to send and receive voice, data, and facsimile signals over wireless networks using standard telephony technology. The TELGUARD product line provides back-up communications for security and alarm systems.

Telular's product lines incorporate the world's leading cellular standards (GSM, TDMA, CDMA, AMPS) and are marketed worldwide. Headquartered in Vernon Hills, Illinois, Telular has regional sales and support offices in Atlanta, Miami, Singapore, London, and Johannesburg. All research and development activities take place in Telular's Technical Center in Hauppauge, New York.

Telular products are manufactured through a combination of in-house manufacturing and contract manufacturing. For specific major programs the products are manufactured in the country where they are sold. Telular is ISO 9001 certified reflecting its commitment to world class quality.

Numerous patents protect Telular's proprietary technology. The company has license agreements with many of the world's major telecommunications infrastructure and equipment suppliers, including Ericsson, Motorola, and Andrew Corporation.

The concept of wireless telephony typically conjures up an image of people on cellular phones, but mobile communications are just one facet of wireless technology. By using any existing cellular infrastructure, Telular PhonecellŪ Fixed Wireless Terminals provide seamless, transparent connectivity fulfilling the delivery and quality requirements for voice and data regardless of location. Cellular fixed wireless solutions deliver a very real advantage to both service providers and consumers overcoming the limitations of cost, availability or practicality of traditional wireline systems.

Cellular fixed wireless is not to be confused with broadband fixed wireless, which is based on proprietary technologies other than standard cellular air interfaces.

Global System for Mobile Communications is the digital standard initially defined and implemented in Europe. This digital standard is the most widely deployed standard with networks on every continent. GSM, like all digital standards, allows for greater capacity than analog. It also has numerous end-user features including voice privacy, short message services, and voice mail notification.
